I had responded to this salesperson. I had told them I would talk with my partner. I had said I would get back to them. And instead of accepting that, they asked me to tell them when they could expect my attention.

The truth is, none of us knows exactly what every donor will do. A donor might surprise you with a larger gift. Someone else may need to wait until next year. Life happens.
